"As Natural as Nature" "Memories"
"As Natural As Nature" is a picture about nature. However if you look closly, you see the added lines, and discover that that isn't apart of nature. I feel with todays world some things that are precieved as natural are not. So in this picture I attemped to take nature pictures but added my own affects to it to make it more "pretty", if you will, in my eyes. In the world, this is done a lot. People take an image of something (more or less someone) and form it into what they see as beautiful so I ask the world, why can't I do that with nature? Is it not the same?
This picture is called "Memories." I decided to put these pictures together because when I think of montages, I think of old memories playing in my head and thats what I hoped to convey in this picture. I put together lightly faded pictures to make up the idea of a slightly faded memory. I choose to take pictures like these because I thought things like a teddy bear and facial expressions really symbolize childhood memories. The camera was to be seen as what captured the memories.
